Mixed reviews for Man of Steel. Most critics seem to be comparing to Superman 1&2 which I think is totally stupid. Snyder, Goyer and Nolan didn’t want to focus on what they did, they wanted more concentration on Superman’s relationship with his two fathers. Critics really need to start being open minded, instead of comparing all the time.

I’ve been reading through articles comparing Game of Thrones with Lord of the Rings.  I see a lot of comments that go, “There are no purely evil and purely good characters in real life like they’re portrayed in LOtR.”

I haven’t read Game of Thrones though I’m planning to, but jeez, as someone who has read LoTR, I don’t think Tolkien portrayed his characters as PURELY good or evil.  For starters, the ring itself was designed by Tolkien to show how corrupt the bearer is or how much their inclination to evil is.

Maybe I’m talking out of context but it just annoys me a bit how some are using the word “purely” recklessly *sigh*
